MAITRE D' ROLE

Role Overview 
As a Host/Maitre D' at L. Mulligan Grocer, you are the first impression of the pub and restaurant. You set the tone for the guest experience by welcoming people warmly, managing reservations efficiently, and ensuring the floor runs smoothly from arrival to departure.
This role suits someone confident, organised, and genuinely hospitable, with a strong sense of teamwork and calm under pressure.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Maitre d’, Host, or senior FOH role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Confident decision-maker who stays calm under pressure
  • Passion for food, drink, and genuine hospitality
  • Availability to work Wednesday-Sunday
Key Responsibilities
  • Be the primary point of contact for guests, setting the tone on arrival
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and table flow during service
  • Support the floor team to ensure seamless service
  • Liaise closely with floor, kitchen, and bar teams
  • Handle guest queries and resolve issues calmly and professionally
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and hospitality throughout the venue
