The Christmas tree is down and the fairy lights are returned to their box for another year, so our thoughts turn to one man: poet, exciseman, and prolific womaniser, Rabbie Burns. Our annual Burns Night is one of our longest running traditions at Mulligans. Held each 25th January, it is a night filled with Irn Bru, haggis, cranachan, lashings of whisky and a blast of bagpipes to round out the night. Pull your sporran from the back of the wardrobe or don your finest tartan troos and join us for a very tartany evening celebrating the life and poetry of Scotland’s bard Robert Burns.
The event includes a four course dinner, paired drinks, toasting, entertainment and general merriment. The menu is set, including cock-a-leekie soup, house-made haggis, smoked fish and plenty of lorne sausage, so please advise of any dietary restrictions when booking. Full vegan and vegetarian menu is available upon request for the lads and lassies who don't eat meat including vegan haggis and lovely gravy and there are non-alcoholic and non-whisky pairing options available.
